Show a corner minimap

Map makers All guides

The minimap is a small overview map shown in the corner. While a visitor is zoomed in on the detail, it shows where they are in the whole place, so they don't lose their bearings.

Turn it on

  1. Open the Settings tab

Edit the map and go to the Settings tab.

  2. Turn on Minimap

Under General, tick Minimap ("Show a small overview map in the corner"). With it off, no minimap appears no matter what images you've set.

Give it a good image

The toggle decides whether the minimap shows; the image it uses is set per level on the Levels tab. Leave a level's minimap image blank and it reuses a smaller copy of that level's main image. A simplified, low-detail overview usually reads far better at that tiny size. See Adding a corner minimap image.

The minimap is one switch for the whole map, so it's on or off everywhere. You still tune the picture level by level.
