When you have a lot of locations to add, a spreadsheet is faster than the form. The CSV tab imports a whole list at once and exports your current locations back out.
Start from the example
Open the CSV tab and find Import / export landmarks as CSV. Click Download example to get a CSV with every supported column in the header row. Fill it in a spreadsheet, then bring it back in.
Already have locations on the map? Click Download backup to export them as a CSV. That file re-imports cleanly, so it doubles as a starting point and a safety copy.
The columns you can fill
Every location field is supported. The most useful text columns are level, label, zoom, style, link, action, reveal, image, photosphere, panofocus, thumbnail, cardlogo, description, plus lat and lng for position. The category column takes one or more category names separated by spaces. A color value sets the marker colour, and hide or roundimage accept true, 1 or yes.
id column. It is how Mapvera matches a row to an existing location when you update. Leave it out and every row is treated as brand new.Bring the CSV in

Load your file
Click Load CSV file… and choose your file, or paste the CSV text straight into the box.

Choose how it merges
Pick one of the three import buttons below the box (see the next section).

Check the result
A message tells you how many locations were added, updated or replaced. The list and preview refresh so you can check them.
Add, Update or Replace
Add (append). Adds every row as a new location and never touches what is already there. If a row's id clashes with an existing one, Mapvera gives the new row a fresh id so nothing is overwritten.
Update / add by ID. For each row, if its id matches an existing location that location is updated, otherwise the row is added. This is the one for editing a batch in a spreadsheet and syncing the changes back.
Replace all. Deletes every existing location and imports only the rows in your CSV. It asks you to confirm first, because the current ones are removed.
