By default a 360 photo opens on the middle of the image. With Start view you pick the exact spot it should open facing, so visitors land on the doorway, the stage or the view you want, not a blank wall.
Where to find it
In the Landmarks tab, expand a location that already has a 360° photo set. Next to the Upload button you will see a Start view… button. Once a start view is saved the button reads Start view ✓ so you can tell at a glance which locations have one.
Pick the opening spot
-
Open the picker
Click Start view…. The flat version of your 360 photo opens large in a popup, with a crosshair cursor.
-
Click the exact spot
Click the point in the photo the 360 should open on. A ring marks your choice. Click again anywhere to move it.
-
Finish
Click Done (or click the dark backdrop) to close the picker. Your choice is saved to the location.
The point you click loads centred in the visitor's view. Centred is the one placement that stays visible on every device, whatever shape the card is, so you do not have to worry about phones cropping it differently.
Go back to opening centred
In the picker, click Clear (open centred) to remove the start view. The 360 photo then opens on the middle of the image again, and the button reverts to Start view….
