Alongside the map, every Mapvera map has a directory — the full list of places. It behaves a little differently depending on the size of your screen, but it does the same job: browse everything, and tap a name to jump to it on the map.
On a phone: the bottom sheet
On a phone the directory is a sheet that sits at the bottom of the screen. It gives you the map up top and the list within thumb's reach below.
-
Drag it up
Drag the top edge of the sheet upwards to expand the list and see more places at once.
-
Drag it down
Drag it back down to shrink it and give the map more room.
-
Tap a place
Tap any name to open its card and centre the map on it. The sheet tucks away so you can see the map clearly.
On a computer: the side panel
On a larger screen the directory sits in a panel beside the map. Scroll it to browse, and click a name to open it on the map.
-
Collapse the panel
Use the small tab on the panel's edge (a ‹ arrow) to slide the panel out of the way and give the map the full width.
-
Bring it back
Click the tab again (now a ›) to slide the panel back in.
What's in the list
| You may see | Meaning |
|---|---|
| A search box at the top | Type to filter the list down to matching places. |
| Logos or photos next to names | A thumbnail for each place (the map owner can turn these off). |
| A category or description under a name | Extra detail to help you tell similar places apart. |
| An A → Z order | The list is sorted alphabetically, unless the owner set their own order. |
