As you work on a map there are really three versions of it: the preview inside the editor, a private draft, and the live public page. Knowing which is which saves confusion about who can see your changes.
The preview (only you see it)
The map shown beside your settings in the editor is the preview. It reflects your unsaved edits as you go, so you can check a change before anyone else sees it. Use the ↻ Refresh button under the preview if you want to reload it. Nobody else can see the preview, and editing it does not change the live map.
Draft (saved, but private)
At the top of the editor is a status toggle with Public and Draft. While a map is set to Draft its public address does not work, so visitors cannot reach it. You and your team can still open it from your dashboard and keep working. New maps start out private so you can build them in peace.
Live (Public)
Set the toggle to Public and click Save & Publish to make the map live. Mapvera builds the public page and it appears at your address within moments. The View link opens exactly what a visitor sees. This is the published, live version.
Putting it together
Build and check your changes in the preview, keep the map on Draft while it is not ready, then switch to Public and Save & Publish when you want the world to see it. To take a live map back offline later, see Take a map offline.
