A passkey uses the screen lock you already trust, such as Face ID, a fingerprint, Windows Hello or a hardware security key, as your second login step. It stands in for the 6-digit code, with nothing to type.
A passkey is a second factor, not a login
In Mapvera a passkey never replaces your password or your Google or Microsoft sign-in. You still prove who you are the usual way, then the passkey is your second step. That means a passkey is one of the two ways to satisfy two-factor, alongside an authenticator app.
Add a passkey

Open Security in your profile
Sign in, open the menu (top-right), choose your name / profile, and find the Passkeys card in the Security section.

Add a passkey
Click Add a passkey and follow your device's prompt (Face ID, fingerprint, PIN or security key).

Name it
Give it a name like “My laptop” or “iPhone” so you can tell your passkeys apart later.

Add more if you like
Register a passkey on each device you use, and remove any of them from the same card whenever you want.
Passkeys saved to iCloud Keychain or Google Password Manager sync across your own devices automatically.
How it works at login
After your password or your Google or Microsoft sign-in, Mapvera asks for your passkey. If you also have an authenticator app, you can choose to use its 6-digit code instead. Lost your device? Sign in from another device that holds one of your passkeys, use an authenticator backup code, or ask Mapvera support to reset your second factor.
